"Let's Get Acquainted Club Picnic - Despite the cool weather, there was a big turnout at the Club Picnic on July 10. Members of Corvettes of So. Cal (CSC) and Corvettes SuperSports of No. Orange County enjoyed games, raffles, good food and a chance to get together with old friends. Look for the 2nd annual picnic next July! "FITS" Fun in the Sun - The weekend of May 6 - 9 was CSC's annual trip to Palm Desert. On Friday we spent the afternoon at Dave and Darla's house in La Quinta enjoying their fine hospitality before heading to an early dinner at Las Casuelas. Saturday's activities included a trip to the swap meet at the College of the Desert, lounging by the pool, or other pre-pool party activities before trying our luck at a raffle for prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Everyone brought along their own food to barbeque on Saturday night, and then remained by the pool to enjoy the pleasant (not too hot) weather in the evening. Click here for more pictures.

CSC 2nd Annual Blood Drive - Club members met at Steve and Donna's house the morning of February 20 for breakfast, then caravaned to the Red Cross Donor Center in Fountain Valley. Close to 20 members donated blood that morning before heading to Joes Crab Shack in Long Beach for lunch overlooking Alamitos Bay. Click here for more pictures.


Super Bowl Party! The Tamarack Resort in Carlsbad was the destination for a great Super Bowl Party on February 7. Bob and Claire organized the event which included pizza, sandwiches, raffles and of course a chance to win some money in the football pool!

CSC Annual Awards Banquet - There was a great turn out this year at the Awards Banquet held the Grand at Willow in Long Beach. This annual event gives everyone a chance to get all dressed up, enjoy a good dinner, and recognize those who make the club so successful. Bill and Cyndy once again outdid themselves in creating and presenting unique and humorous trophies. Click here for more pictures.

"Cambria 2009" This year's annual trip to Cambria was November 5,- 8 at the Sea Otter Inn. After meeting for breakfast at Tom's Place Resaturant in Placentia, Gary Leonhardt lead the caravan to Cambria, stopping at McClintock's for dinner. . Click here for more pictures.

"Peterson Museum Visit " - On October 10, nineteen members and twelve cars headed out for a 10:00a guided tour of the Peterson Car Museum in Los Angeles. The tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable-- who knew there was so much history between the car industry and the city of Los Angeles?!  As with so many of our road trips, it ended with lunch; this time at the Lone Star Restaurant in Long Beach. "On the Road Again" - On August 30th, several CSC members met for breakfast prior to begining another great CSC tradition... the annual road trip to the home of the Corvette - Bowling Green, Kentucky. On Friday, September 4, after some adventures (and mis-adventures), the travelers caravaned to National Corvette Museum for a tour of the assembly plant where they saw ZR-1s, Grand Sports, standard coupes and convertibles coming down the assembly line. A great time was had by all!
